2004 Season

Dancing with Dragons!
Forest Folk Tales from the Asia Pacific
RE-STAGED DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND 1st to 7th March 2004.

We decided to change the title, since it suits the production much better, plus we have got fed up of adding numbers after the title!
This production went to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to great acclaim in August 2004, ran agin successfully at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in June 2005, changed it's name to Tigers and Thieves for the Singapore Arts Festival in June 2005, and then headlined at the first KL Children's Theatre Festival in Kuala Lumpur August 2005!

The Magic Paintbrush
May 25th to June 6th DBS Arts Centre.

Another production that went wonderfully when we first presented it in 2000 at the now sadly demolished Drama Centre.
We polished it up, brought it up to 2004 standards, and presented it again. We again got pretty good reviews for the show. Phoenix this time was a human, and had a very colourful entourage! There were less puppets, but an enthusiastic cast and crew more than made up for that.
In addition, we were very proud to present the first publication of The Magic Paintbrush book, published by Marshall Cavendish International and based on the play, written by Brian Seward and illustrated by Francis Chua.

The Asian Children's Drama Fiesta 2004
19th November to 5th December 2004

Featuring a completely re-vamped Magic Paintbrush, with new cast and innovative set design, a highly successful SELLOUT re-run of Rainbow Fish, and introducing a Malaysian neighbour company - the Jumping Jellybeans, who presented the madcap and wonderfully silly Jumping Jellybeans Investigative Company, this was a very exciting festival, with some interesting workshops and other activities too!
