Three
of Singapore’s most talented theatre performers celebrate life’s
great moments in just over 90 minutes flat in a whirlwind of song, dance
and intimate revelations.
3 Men & A Boot brings these three men together for the very first
time, and as you’ve never seen them before, in this brand new production
for three performances only at the Victoria Theatre.
Starring Gani Abdul Karim, Juwanda Hassim and Darius Tan your mind, body
and spirit will soar as they take you on a fantastic and awe inspiring
journey through the worlds of musicals, jazz, blues, pop culture and with
at tribute to Singapore’s very own Dick Lee.
Slipping
seamlessly between musical styles the trio span four decades of music,
including fun hits from Saturday Night Fever, Mama Mia (Abba) and The
Wiz with special guest appearances from Singapore’s very own Soul
Diva Asha, Kimberly Creasman and Singer/Actor Hatta Said.
It’s
not everyday an audience gets a chance to travel through such a big piece
of musical history in one evening, but 3 Men & A Boot will up lift
and touch you in this toe tapping, hip gyrating, tongue twisting journey
of discovery.

The Director
Juwanda Hassim
This
big man (1.84m, 87kg) has put his fingers into many pies in theatre. This
Ex Bar manager has Stage & Production Managed, Acted and Sung in many
productions. His first love is still expanding his lungs and is known
for his powerful voice. He was recently invited to Kuala Lumpur to sing
To Dream an Impossible Dream ( Man From La Mancha) as a tribute to Mr
Mahathir ( Malaysia’s Prime Minister). He was also seen in Mortal
Sins, Chang and Eng, Honk, Forbidden City, Of Mice and Men, Little Violet
and the Angel and many other local productions. He has been performing
professionally since 1994 locally and internationally

Choreographer
Gani Abdul Karim
A Seasoned performer, Gani has a long string of stage experiences and
awards under his belt. He has worked with renowned artistes like Glen
Goei, Najip Ali, Lea Salonga, Jacintha and Dick Lee. A dynamic dancer
and choreographer, he has choreographed "live" shows, television
extravaganzas and musicals such as Little shop of Horrors and Sing to
the Dawn. On New Year’s eve 2002, he performed a solo vocal piece
at the Esplanade which was heard throughout the entire complex. This year
he’ll be releasing his debut album with his vocal group, Simpatico,
in Malaysia and Singapore
Mr
Music Man
Darius Tan
Darius Tan, may be a rather unfamiliar name, but you will have seen him
in Esplanade’s first musical Forbidden City as the Grand Eunuch
(2002), The Narrator in Theatre Practice’s Sampek Engtay (2001),
or simply an ensemble member in Action Theatre’s Chang and Eng playing
a total of 54 performances in 1999 amongst others. Still no idea who he

freak performer.
