Kids Company Magazine Presents The
Jumping Jellybeans
In Terra Arata (Tilled fields)
21st to 24th November 3.00pm and 7.30pm
Suitable for anyone 6 years old and above
After bringing their immensely successful and wonderfully silly production
‘Jumping Jellybeans Investigative Company’ to Singapore
last year, this time they are back with a fascinating production for
young and older folk alike. Taking their inspiration from the famous
painting by Joan Miro, ‘The Tilled Field’ they have created
a wonderful multimedia dreamscape. An exhausted farmer is resting below
a tree. As he dreams, the animals of the painting come alive through
original stories presented through imaginative physical theatre and
projected animations. Combined with original and traditional music from
Spain, Italy and Asia and modern and traditional dance, this promises
to be a feast for the senses. The rhythm changes as moments of laughter
follow high drama and silence follows shouts.
It’s all a dream, so don’t expect it to make sense at first;
and don’t be worried that this fascinating introduction to the
world of Modern Art might be too highbrow for you – the Jumping
Jellybeans are expert guides!
