Aesop was a Greek poet. Born into a life of slavery, he won his liberty as a reward for his learning and wit.
However, his sharp tongue, and sense of justice eventually led to his downfall.
Maybe he should have paid more attention to his own fables!
His wit, his wisdom, and the subtle ways he challenged and encouraged us live on today.
Now, we present a fun-filled musical, celebrating just a few of the 665 fables associated with Aesop. Don’t expect the usual fare – we have turned the art of storytelling on its head in order to lead you through the lives, lunches and misadventures of a truly miss-matched band of scruffy, silly and sometimes stubborn creatures, as they slowly and painfully learn life’s little wisdoms, and bigger secrets. Blending Asian aesthetics of mask and movement with Western theatre styles, and combining the spoken word with movement and song - you are sure to be touched, entangled and turned around by this amusing amalgam of fabulous fables - whether you are four or eighty-four!
WATCH OUT FOR: Catchy songs! Colourful characters! An engaging and delightful story told in a visual physical style! Audience interaction!
A free Resource and Stimulus Pack is available for teachers who make a group booking.
COMPLETELY SOLD OUT FOR THE WHOLE RUN!
