Two lonely teenagers, Kirsty and Gideon find refuge from their stressed and unhappy family lives in a deserted community centre. Neither realises they share the same refuge, until one fateful evening…
From their first tentative and defensive meeting, a friendship begins to bloom. Through the paintings of Gideon, and out of their imagination, a magical kingdom is created.
Both begin to develop a new and precious friendship as they explore their fears, family relationships and identities through the magical stories they share; gradually becoming more and more able to face the harsh realities of our own world.
A breathtaking production with a lot to say to young people, teens, and adults - about looking for beauty and thinking beyond the five ‘C’s - about breaking out of the mould and finding out what is truly valuable.

Excellent script,
and crisp acting... good plotlines and exploration of the varied emotions...(Ms

With
such a sensitive theme and storyline, it warranted a delicate hand...
Director Brian Seward was spot on with the warm candlelights and elimination
of harsh stage lights... It was a good first step for this new theatre
group... (Flying Inkpot)
